Located in Belmont the Belgravia Medical Centre embarked on a program to promote and foster creativity within its community. The connection between art and health is well established, but the idea for the Belgravia Arts Community (BAC) was inspired by many of our creative and talented patients. These works needed a space to be exhibited to inspire and share with others. Stories are important in healthcare and we ask the artists to share their stories to contextualise the artwork. Locating artwork of our patients and their relatives within a practice setting provides for a different experience when visiting the practice. The essence of the BAC is to share, inspire and grow.
